Beta Club Pledge

 

I hereby declare that I shall always strive

Beta Club Purpose

 

The purpose of the National Jr. Beta Club is to encourage effort, to reward merit, and to promote the qualities of character that make for good citizenship.

 

Eligibility Guidelines

To join the Jr Beta Club, a student must have:

an A/B average

no discipline problems that require AE

correctly recite the Beta pledge to a sponsor

 

(Students making a C will be on probation for one grading period.)

 

 

2016/2017 Dues

Yearly dues are $20.00 for new members and $5.00 for returning members.

 

 

Community Service Projects

**Students are required to complete Five (5) service projects and turn in to Mrs. Lindsey, Mrs. Davis, or Mrs. Parsley by early December, in order to qualify for the December field trip.

**A total of ten (10) service projects must be turned in by the end of April, in order to qualify for the May field trip.

 

THESE DEADLINES WILL BE ENFORCED UNLESS EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES EXIST.  THOSE WILL BE DEALT WITH ON A PERSON-BY-PERSON BASIS. 

 

Ongoing Service Projects are:

·         Seven Deeds in Seven Days; Do seven “good” deeds for others, record them, and have an adult to sign

·         Read to a Child; minimum of four books; write down the books’ titles, date, and have an adult to sign

·         Angel Tree Gift or $10 money contribution

·         Hygiene products (see attached sheet)

·         School supplies (see attached sheet)

·         Community Volunteer Hours (nursing home, etc.); every 2 hours volunteered will count as 1 service project

·         50 General Mills ‘Big G’ Box Tops = 1 Service Project

·         100 Plastic Lids = 1 Service Project

·         100 Coke Tabs = 1 Service Project
